Jennifer Hudson bounces back with new album, upcoming movie

Jennifer Hudson, who flaunted her slim figure at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards this year, is back with a bang.

The 29-year-old dropped from a size 16 to a size 6 in just 12 months after giving birth to her son David Jr. in August 2009 by following Weight Watchers (she's now their spokeswoman) and hitting the gym five times a week.

The Oscar-winning 'Dreamgirls' starlet's incredible transformation turned heads, as she looked svelte as ever in a tangerine Versace gown.

Hudson, who has been lying low since the tragic murders of her mother and brother in 2008, is re-entering the spotlight with a second studio album, 'I Remember Me,' out on March 22.

She also has a challenging new role as Nelson Mandela's wife in the upcoming biopic 'Winnie', reports the New York Daily News.

Hudson tells EW.com of her new album: "I named it 'I Remember Me' because I feel like in 29 years I 've led over four different lives.

"It is a disk of everything I've been through. I don't have much from my old stuff to grasp at, so the only way I remember me is from my voice or the scar on my hand. That's a part of me and I want to remember it all."

Jennifer Hudson hoards clothing?

Jennifer Hudson has said that her home is full of clothing that she does not wear.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her chatshow, Hudson, who recently slimmed down from a size 16 to a 6, said that she has bought so many new clothes that she has run out of closet space in her home.

"It's so bad, Ellen, to the point that I have to throw my clothes up on the canopy of the bed because I don't have any space in the drawers or the closet," the singer-actress said.

She added: "I've taken over the bedroom, the guest room, and now I'm throwing stuff on top of the canopy."

Hudson explained that she, her son David and fiancé David Otunga are running out of room in their house.

DeGeneres joked: "You've seen the show Hoarders, right?"

Hudson said that her situation was different because all of her clothes are new.

However, DeGeneres quipped: "They all think it's different."

Just in today is that Jennifer Hudson is pregnant. Anybody with good vision and good brains can see her "baby bump" from the photo above taken on May 1 2009. Family and friends of the former American Idol contestant and Oscar winner, for her performance in "Dreamgirls" in 2006, gave her a Baby Shower. However, we still don't know whether the baby will be a boy or girl.

Hudson is engaged to former reality TV star David Otunga, who’s currently pursuing a pro wrestling career. Maybe we'll see future hubby in the UFC. That would be awesome!

Confirmed: Julian King Body Found | Jennifer Hudson Nephew

The 7-year-old nephew of singer and actress Jennifer Hudson was found dead in the back of an SUV on Monday. The child's identity was confirmed by the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Hudson's mother and brother were found shot to death 3 days earlier. The estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister is considered a person of interest. His name is William Balfour and is in police custody due to a parole violation.

This was a horrific crime! Our prayers go out to Jennifer Hudson and her sister. May they find strength in these coming days.

Police searching for Jennifer Hudson's missing 7-year-old nephew found the body of a young boy Monday in the same SUV that was the part of the massive manhunt. Authorities didn't identify the body of a young black boy found in the SUV Monday. But, it is believed to be that of Julian King. Law enforcement authorities are waiting for the coroner's report for confirmation.

Arrest Made | Jennifer Hudson Mom Murdered | Video Report

This is a great tragedy! And we hope Jennifer Hudson is holding up okay. Friday, the mother and brother of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson were the two people found slain in a south side Chicago home, according to a publicist for Hudson. The house was owned by Hudson's mom.

Jennifer Hudson's mom was found in the living room with a bullet wound to her head and Hudson's brother was shot in the chest. He was found in a bedroom.

The man suspected of shooting the two victims was caught by the police on Friday. On the day of the murders the suspect kidnapped Hudson's 7-year-old nephew. The nephew has not been located.

The man's photo and name are in the video clip, below. He is believed to have been the boyfriend of Jennifer Hudson's sister.

Jennifer Hudson's rep confirmed that Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga are engaged. Just about everyone knows Jennifer Hudson's claim to fame. But, who the heck is David Otunga?

Otunga, who’s nickname is ‘Punk’, proposed on Friday night, Jennifer’s 27th birthday, with a beautiful Neil Lane diamond ring. Punk was on the Reality TV show "I Love New York 2." Tiffany Pollard, aka "New York" was on a mission to find her true love. Punk was eliminated in week 10 of the TV program.

"New York" may have rejected Punk, but 'Dream Girls' start and Academy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson accepted his proposal. We look forward to the wedding announcement.
